Sands and Aggregates

Our sand and aggregate range includes everything you need for general gardening design right through to large scale landscaping projects. Our products are checked and tested to the highest standard so that you can be sure of a professional finish for both decorative and construction projects.

So whether you are laying a patio or pathway, designing a rock garden or gravel area or converting a driveway, we can help.

Shingle
Shingle

This is a very popular driveway gravel as the stones are large enough that they don’t get caught up in your tire treads. It’s a mix of sharp and round gravel that has been washed and passed through screens to produce a regular 20mm size. Its varied colours and shapes give a relaxing, eye-catching effect.

The sound of shingle when walked on is pleasing to the ear but can also deter intruders. Perfect for paths, borders, drives, gardens, landscaping and many other uses. Put a few handfuls at the bottom of pots, tubs and planters to improve drainage.

Soft Sand

Use in sand pits and play areas for the roundness and fineness of its particles.

Schools use silver sand for long jump pits and councils use it for artificial beaches. Children can enjoy hours of fun rolling around and playing in this safe sand.

Also good for ponds, pond baskets and aquariums due to its purity, fineness and colour. Silver sand is almost pure silica and free from irons and contaminants.

Ballast
Ballast

The reliable aggregate for most concrete applications. A mixture of sharp sand and rough shingle up to 20mm. Not suitable for drainage due to high fines content. Widely used in industrial building but also in domestic applications such as fence posting and concrete paths.
